: Our power to live the Christian life is in God’s word:
David the King states this in Psalms 119:11. “Your word have I
hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.”
David the King was a man after God’s own heart; we need to heed his words and have the same attitude he had. God’s
word is sown in our hearts as we live and learn to walk in His presence and take time to sit in heavenly places with Christ
Jesus every hour of every day. This kind of relationship with God
can be had and what God always wanted for His children. We must be trained to live with a conscience
awareness of a spiritual world that must dominate our thinking and become more real then the physical world around us. When
a born again believer does not nourish his spirit and have a quick understanding of what the Holy Ghost is telling them; they
become sheep being lead to be slaughtered. Why a born again believer would want to live like this is absolute insanity. It has to be because; they are totally
ignorant of how the kingdom of God works.
In Psalms 139:23 David says this to God. “Search me thoroughly, O God, and know my heart! Try me
and know my thoughts! And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Unless
the body of Christ has a
profound respect with passion to ask the Holy Ghost to search their heart and see if there are areas where they are not walking uprightly
in their relationship with God, it will hurt them from functioning in the inheritance that God gave them when they were adopted
into the family.
This causes them to have no tenacity to search the scriptures and spend time in the secret place with the
Holy Ghost which allows Him to plant the word of God deep into their subconscious mind. This is a two step process of asking
God to check out our heart and then we will want to meditate on the word day and night. With out this taking place one can
forget about maturing and having our steps ordered by the Lord as David said in Psalms 37:23 because; we must be delighting
in His word. When one delights in something; they fine it a pleasurable experience and it is this atmosphere of interacting
with the Holy Ghost that keeps us focused on living in his presence with passion.
The word for sin in the Greek is defined as a person not functioning in the inheritance that God our Father
gave them the day they became born again from above. This meaning that; they are making decisions that are contrary to God’s
kingdom principles and missing their allotted portion from God of how they are to live a victories Christian life. We do not
condemn people who are living in this unrighteous Christian life style; but through patience and prayer we try to persuade
them to surrender to God and believe that God in some way will cause them to repent; which will allow them to sense God’s
love and forgiveness. There are many Christians who are living in some sever bondages and it must be a miracle by God taking
place with in them that will set them free from these behaviors that are ruling and destroying their life. We are talking
here about born again blood washed children of God.
Most Christian’s assemblies define sin as action which is caused by a rebellious heart and addicted
to behavior contrary to the Ten Commandments. They spend most of the time preaching on defining behavior then dealing with
the
heart issues as the Holy Ghost does which in turn heals the out ward behavior. As born again believers we must spend time in developing a relationship with the Holy Ghost
so he can heal our hearts where the issues of life are formed and which empowers us to make sound judgments with Godly wisdom
as we go through the daily activities of our life.
The world is running down to the end of this age as we know it because; the scripture state that when certain
things come to pass; we can recognize these times. If you listen to the news and walk as an informed person trying to find
your purpose and at times lapse back in to a survivorship mentality to stay above water, it has to be a scary thing to see
the corner stone of this country falling away from the true Christian values of the inspired word of God. The abortion
issue, gay rights, people interpreting scripture and stating that there must be a division between church and state. Wars,
rumors of wars, earthquakes, hurricanes, famine in countries and pestilences like aids.
All of this is stated in scripture as the perils of the last days coming to pass. The born again church is
referred to as a movement rather then the true born again church of Christ; that has become a new creature in Christ because;
a miracle takes place when they became born again through accepting Christ as their Savior, where signs and wonders are
to follow them because; the Holy Ghost is operating as he wills in their life.
We have born again believers running for office and those that are not born again. I don’t believe
in all my years have I seen such confusion and uncertainty as to the future of this country or of mankind. Have we gone to
the extreme of leaning to our own understanding and finally gotten away from what our Christian heritage is founded on and
represents as far as God is concerned.
The world as I perceive it is a freight car running wide open and the bridge is out up ahead. For the true born again believer
we must spend some passionate intensity in seeking the face of God in prayer and allow the Holy Ghost to put things back in
order by those who want and understand that the “ effectual reverent prayers of a righteous man avails much in the ears
of God.” It is this verse of scripture that will turn this world around.
The sad and dangerous thing that bothers me is; most of the born again churches doesn’t even understand
what being righteous in Christ means. When this happens; their awareness or vision of the conditions that they are living
in is not clearly seen because of the ignorance and lack of meditating on God’s word. It also takes place because; they
do not know how to go to the secrete place right into the throne room of God with a hunger and passion in seeking God’s
presence and wisdom.
Not putting God as the first love of your life and being disciplined in reading and meditating on God’s
word and having a loving relationship with the Holy Ghost means; a wasted life of trivial pursuits that have no eternal rewards
when we go to be with the Lord. In turn, the born again Christian lives a life of trying to survive rather then living with
the rich abundance of what they have inherited from God their Father.
I have come to the conclusion from all the people that I have met over the last forty some years, that there
are more Christians living in an unconscious spiritual lethargy and it can only be because; they have no vision of who they
are in Christ. It is a sad and grieves state of affairs how the devil has blinded God’s children of their rightful place
and authority as Kings and Priests in the service of God our Father.
The Apostle Paul in Col. 3:16-17 says this. “Let the
word spoken by Christ the Messiah have its home in your hearts and minds and dwell in you in all its richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom in spiritual
things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with His grace in your hearts. And whatever
you do no matter what it is in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in dependence upon His Person,
giving praise to God the Father through Him.” Scripture tells us that while we in the way; we need to be talking
about the Lord every opportunity we get. God has given us words of wisdom to share with people we meet who are just weary
of life.
For you who are reading this, can you recognize God’s voice with in you as you are mediating on
the word day and night? As a born again believer do you understand that; you can sit in heavenly places with Christ Jesus
now while you are on the earth and do you know how to do this? The Spirit
world is a very real place that we can walk in and not a bunch of rules and regulations to follow.
The Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 3:4 states this. “Let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden
person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which is not anxious or
disturbed, but is very precious in the sight of God.” How precious do you feel in God’s sight?
In the Greek Concordance the word for hidden is krupto: meaning concealed and covered. Scripture
tells us that we who are born again are to be hidden in Christ. Paul tells us in Romans 13:14 to “But clothe
yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah, and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking
about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires lusts.” When something is hidden it becomes
obscure or concealed as if something is wrapped around it. It also means, to endow somebody by investing in them a quality
that by them staying passive; they can allow some one else to empower and give them a passion to do their will. This is how
we live by the faith (of) Jesus rather then a belief (in) Jesus. Think about this statement and ask yourself if you understand
it. When we live by the faith of Jesus we are empowered by His life. When we live with a mentality of in Jesus; we live outside
of our righteous white robe that covers our old man nature that Jesus died for.
Paul the Apostle in Phil. 1:21 said this. “For me to live is Christ. His life in me; and to die
is gain- (the gain of the glory of eternity.) Ask yourself; are you letting the Holy Ghost have His perfect way by letting
Him live his life through you or are you still trying to work hard at measuring up so God will love you and in turn; you will
be able to receive his favor?
Now this word lusts that this scripture talks about takes on many forms. It can be living in worry
of how to survive and pay your bills. It can be trying to keep up with the Jones. It could be a drive to become a control
freak and wheel power in you particular arena of life. It can be an addiction to anything that is contrary to the nature of
God as his child. We must understand that this is a demonic manipulation of our heart and this happen because; we do not understand
or have never been taught what it means to put on or clothe ourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ.
God put on us a clean white robe which is Jesus himself (Jesus own Righteous spirit) the day we became born
again and as long as we focus on our white robe; we will be able to hide the old man who was sin conscience before we became
the new creature in Christ Jesus and in turn the word of God can be planted deep with in our heart. A person who is hiding
has two choices.
He can either hide by living in denial or he can allow God to flow his righteous spirit threw them and stay
hidden in Christ and focus on their righteous position and sainthood that the Holy Ghost is trying to show them. A born again
believer automatically becomes a saint the day they become born again. You don’t have to do miracles and earn that position
as the Catholic Church teaches.
Paul tells us to run the race that God has set before us and to not look back. Most Christians are addicted
to looking under their white robes and are judging themselves with their sins of the past, present and the fear of committing
more sins of the future. This mentality represents a demonic controlled thinking pattern in our mind and when this kind of
philosophy is acted out; we take off the Lord Jesus Christ and become uncovered. When this happens; we do not stay hidden
in Christ any longer with our white robe of righteousness. This is tragic because; it causes us to be in state of forever
trying to learn about how the kingdom of God operates and never coming to the real truth of God’s way for us to deal
with our lives. In turn, our kingdom walk with him is hindered and unfulfilling. The only way we can mature and walk in obedience
to the Lord’s commands is to allow God’s grace to empower us to live the Christian life.
In John 1:14-17 John makes this statement about Christ when he says. “ And the Word
(Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile among us; and we actually saw
His glory His honor, His majesty, such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father,
full of grace favor, loving-kindness and truth. John testified about Him
and cried out; this was He of Whom I said. He Who comes after me has priority over me, for He was before me. He takes rank above me, for He existed before I did. He has advanced
before me, because He is my Chief. For out of His fullness abundance we have all received all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing
and even favor upon favor and gift heaped upon gift, for while the Law was given through Moses, grace unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
As I have said if we are living by Jesus faith; we are the same as He is.
Full of grace favor
, loving-kindness and truth.
John tells us that we all have received His fullness. It is us flowing in God’s forgiving
grace that makes the word of God come alive in us so that; we know that we are sitting in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
Paul the Apostle tells us in Romans 14:17 that “The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy
in the Holy Ghost.” When we flow in God’s forgiving spirit of His grace, we could be living in some extreme
uncomfortable trials but God’s grace will supply the joy we need to with stand the storms of life.
If we understand David the King’s life style, he was guilty of murder and adultery and yet he was a
man after God’s own heart. These are some serious violations as far as representing God on this planet. I believe that
he came to the conclusion that there was no good thing in his own nature and he had learned to rest heavily on God’s
forgiving grace. We can live a continual every minute of the day life style of flowing in God’s grace. This is where
we ask God to keep us in the palm of his hand as He does even though we mess up at times. Remember this process of forgiveness
is between God and our selves and between our self with our self. There is a process that we go through to forgive our self
from things we get involved in that destroys our peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Let’s remember; we can’t escape
from ourselves. We need to let go and let God as we abandon our selves to His grace and mercy.
Having God’s word planted deeply in our heart and mind gives us the rock sure conviction as David had
when he states in Psalms 23:6. “Surly goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall live
in the presence of the Lord for ever.” We all need to abandon ourselves
to this conviction.
