As I have studied the word of God in the Greek and Hebrew text over these many years; I am constantly being made aware of how the kingdom of God works and I have tried to avoid strife (bitterness and sometimes violent conflict and rivalry) in all of its many forms. When we're influenced by strife; we open ourselves up to a demonic attack that wants to burden down our soul which consists of our (mind, will and emotions.) It is as our soul becomes strong and healthy which gives us the ability to maintain a continuous relationship with the Holy Ghost in spite of all the adversity that comes our way. Through my own trials, errors and determination to know that my steps are being ordered by the Lord, it still totally amazing me how the spirit of strife and competition has mesmerized the world and I am sorry to say; is still operating with such strength with in the born again community.

God put in mankind seed attributes that will equip him to succeed at what ever he puts his hand to.  Man can think, plan and create both good and evil. God gave us a free will to make choices to come under His authority and influence to fulfill our destiny; or try to achieve success in our own reasoning and efforts. When mankind leans towards his own understanding and effort; this causes him to come under demonic influences and his peace and joy is not sustained.

When Adam and Eve became hypnotized and charmed by Satan in the Garden of Eden, Satan added a demonic attribute to Adam and Eve's nature where before this happened; they knew that they were totally righteous and blameless in God's sight and they had fellowship with God by Him flowing His Spirit through them like a rushing wind. However; when they became enchanted, Satan gave them the ability to lean to their own understanding and not follow God's leadings by focusing on judging them selves rather then God showing up.  

This happened because; the devil made them believe that; God made them incomplete.  This is where the good fight of faith got started because now; they had to make choices between God‘s thoughts and authority verses another spiritual entity vying for their affection. God never intended for this to happen to His creation. Along with our God given attributes; this demonic seed we inherited was also past down to mankind at birth from our great-tttt grand parents.  The scripture defines us coming out of the womb with a fallen nature and cursed with a plague.

Man had no control as to how he came into the world.  God knowing this; His passion, mercy and love had Christ step out of heaven and become a man living in Jesus so He could relate with our misery and bondage that we were born with and we can now know that when we call on Him; He understands because; He was tested and tried as we are when he walked the earth.  The born again church who is supposed to be the example of Jesus Christ in the world; must come to have the same fellow feelings that God has in loving the sinner when they came out of the womb or the saints of God in their growing pains to maturity.  

We have no will power in our self to change our behavior.  People who are living contrary to the Holy Ghost's leadings do so because; they are either ignorant or deliberately knowing that they are breaking God's laws. In turn; what they do is condemn and blame them self for their plagued condition and do not support and love them self as being a saint in their growing pains.  We only let the devil abuse us like this because; we have never been taught how to fight the good fight of faith with the spiritual weapons God has given us.  

When we condemn the sinner ( people who are not born again) or do not support the saint (people who are born again) it's like going into the cancer ward at a hospital and telling the cancer patients on their death bed to stop being lazy and stubborn and get out of their bed and fly right. When I was in my teens over fifty years ago I tried for ten years to clean up my act and I lived as a practicing Catholic with the fear that if; I died in my sin or oppressive faults, I was told I was going to hell, and I believed it.  

We need to remind ourselves that; a man does not go to heaven for his good works, nor does he go to hell for his sins.

It all depends on whether we have accepted Jesus sacrifice at the cross and have become born again. The fear and guilt of this bondage of me breaking God's laws tormented me until; God sent a man into my life and told me the story of Jesus. After nine months of debate; I had a born again experience in my automobile of a rushing wind entering my physical body and a inner witness that I had became born again, and the curse that I was born with was gone.

This was my first personal witness from the Holy Ghost and I have had hundreds more in these last forty five years.  Our walking with God in the spirit world is a very real living experience and unless we are participating in it with real zeal, determination and passion; it will be impossible to understand what the good fight of faith is all about. I pray you are hearing me.

I have to assume that; people who read my articles on the web site; must be looking for fulfillment and a higher wisdom then their own in their attempt to live the Christian life.  All the e-mail that I do get puts me to tears and prayer and makes me feel that people are being set free from the curse they were all born with and it is pure pleasure for me to respond to their e-mails.

Once we are born again; it is a matter of life or death in your relationship with God to truly be able to identify how, who, when and where we get the power to fight.  This was my intent in writing this article. For me these news letters are what I live for because; I never know where the Holy Ghost will lead me with His thoughts and I personally eat every word for my own spiritual growth before you get it.

God made mankind to be a fighter.  He equipped him to stand up and proclaim God's decrees already set in heaven.  When man does not know who or how to fight and where to get the power to fight; he becomes his worst enemy.  We with sober minds have to spiritually discern and rightly interpret the word of God if; we are going to have the ability to define the difference between kingdom living or being a slave to the devils devices which in turn stops our soul from prospering. The majority of the born again church is still fighting in their own thinking and endeavors to stay delivered from sinful habits and working very hard to love the Lord.  When one focuses on their sin conscience behavior; they never fight the good fight of faith in any form and they waste their energy on fighting shadow images that have no substance.

Jesus at the cross has already dealt with our sinful cursed nature that we were born with. He went to the cross to free us from it by us accepting His sacrifice and becoming born again.  This made us become a new creation in Christ. Anything we do to try to clean up our act; are self righteous endeavors that make the cross of Jesus Christ of none effect in our life.  There is a place of quiet rest when we cast all our care on Jesus; because we begin to believe that; He really cares for us. He is the mediator who stands in the gap for us in the throne room; who already has made and continually makes intersession for us to God our Father.  

It is the Holy Ghost's responsibility to examine our thinking carefully in order to judge its quality or correctness and encourage us where we have missed the mark of God's high calling do to immaturity and having a lack of Godly wisdom in our lives. People who not have the Holy Ghost living in them still have their sinful fallen nature and are a slave to live in a sinful life style causing them to abuse and sin against the lord and them self.


Being a person who is a born again child of God; makes God their Father look at them as His saintly children and delivers us from leaning towards our own understanding in examining ourselves after having the born again experience.

There is absolutely too much skin pealing going on in the minds of God's children and they are trying to measure up to be accepted by God the Father.  So any thing operating in this menu with in our make up; has nothing to do with fighting the good fight of faith.  What we have here is God's kids telling their Father that; they have a better way to live the abundant life then what He ordained for them.

It sounds like my children a time or two that I (dad) am just too old to understand the things they have to deal with in life, and dad's wisdom doesn't work any more. I am a father who desperately loves his children and I grieve when they decide to leave my protected hedge that I want to put around them because; they think that they know more then dad.  I believe God the Father feels the same way about his children; when they decide to lean towards their own understanding, and try to make Him into their own image. Now we have just described what the good fight of faith is not and there is no way that we have the power to change anything.  It is only the workings of Holy Ghost who lives in us that empowers us to live the Christian life. Let's define from scripture the two alternatives we have to deal with as a Christian fighting the good fight of faith.

The Christian walk is described in Romans 14:17 by Paul of what God's kingdom is and what it is not. "The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost"

Peter also tells us in 1 Peter 1:2 (amplified) any person living in any thing other then his righteousness is; "Living in fear, which causes, agitating passion and moral conflicts." These are the two alternative living spiritual entities that affect our soul daily and we must be able to identify how  they effect our soul if; we intend to fight so we can stay free to flow in our righteous position in Christ Jesus. Here we have just described our fight of faith.

Once we're able to define who and how our adversary wants to control our thoughts and actions; we then must have the resolve to surrender our will to the Holy Ghost because; we come to realize how inept we are to fight the devils tactics in our own strength. A person fights for freedom because; God made him that way.  However, when we are ignorant of knowing how God's kingdom works; you can live your whole life demonically oppressed and never walk in real freedom.  There is nothing more tragic in life then not experiencing the true love of the Lord.  When we come under the attack of the fear entity; this is what causes us to live with agitating passion and moral conflicts.

Paul tells us in 11 Tim 1:7. "God has not given us a spirit of timidity-cowardice, of craven and cringing fear; but has given us a spirit of power and of love and a calm and well-balanced mind with discipline and self control."  What God gives us; he also empowers us to accept and function in however; only through his Righteous Spirit of Love.

Four years ago my wife was admitted to the hospital again as she has had a heart condition for the last twenty years.  Now I have had to take her to the emergency room on a regular basis for many years.  Last year her heart stopped for a few moments and they had to give her a pace maker that has to be monitored every six months. For my wife and me; these trials have caused us to abandon our lives on the love of God and learn to rest in his care.  These are indeed scary moments for both of us.  If you have ever had to deal with pain and sickness; it can pay a heavy toll with worry and fear.  

This episode was extremely scary as we were overcome by a spirit of fear that brought torment, and we discovered by talking about it later that; we both thought she was going to die.  These incidences make me aware of how much I love her and how lost I would be with out her at my side.  I know God heals and that is my prayer however; I would rather have a wife with physical frailties then be living alone with out her. However; this should not be the choice a person should have to live with because; we have the anointing of Christ living in us and God wants us to believe that He not only heals our soul but our physical body.

The answer my wife and I are focusing on through our trials is found in 1John 4:18-19.  "There is no fear in love, dread does not exist; but full-grown (complete perfect) love turns fear out doors and expels every trace of terror! Fear brings with it the thought of punishment and so he who is afraid; has not reached the full maturity of love's complete perfection. WE LOVE HIM BECAUSE; WE HAVE ALLOWED HIM TO FIRST LOVE US."  This first happened when we accepted His love sacrifice at the cross and continue to live with this awareness.

My feelings at the moment tell me to totally abandon myself on God's love and mercy.  I am still trying to rest and be persuaded that God who is perfect love laid down His life for His friends; meaning us.  I have also discovered that; indeed I am my worst enemy and only as I experience God's righteous spirit of love flowing through my heart and mind that I have a restful spirit.  True rest in God comes only as we surrender to His leadings in spite of the fact that our natural mind tells us; it makes no sense to trust something we can not feel with our natural senses.

We must be having experiences with the Holy Ghost with thankfulness and an intimate relationship with God moment by moment.  This concept that; we have to work at loving God more to receive His blessings and acceptance; is an Old Testament doctrine that we are no longer to live under.  
It's experiencing and allowing God to love us; that empowers us to live an over coming life and what delivers us from fear. As fear is the main spirit of demonic activity; love is the main spirit of our relationship with the Lord.

Walking by faith means; we are going to have a fight on our hands.  When one fights; they make a vigorous effort to oppose, resist, or overcome something or somebody.  As a born again believer; we must learn how to operate with Christ's mind who lives with in us or; we will continue to lean towards our own understanding and try to make God into our own image.  We received the mind of Christ the day we were miraculously engrafted into God's kingdom and family and we have to be trained how to not use our natural reasoning because Christ's mind and our natural mind are two opposing forces. Only learning how these two opposing forces work will we be able to make healthy choices of choosing this day who we will serve; the mind of the flesh or the mind of the Spirit.  This is what our true Christian battle is all about.

Christian warfare starts in our mind and it has nothing to do with focusing on our behavior.  I have heard over the years more preaching on behavioral actions and how we have to stop this and start doing that. The true gospel in Christ of our sanctified state through God's grace; isn't even being preached in many places and we continually hear Jesus saves and we have to measure up in some way to experience God's love. Our behavior comes into line when we are fighting the true fight of faith through God‘s grace, (God's favor we do not have to earn).
