1.) We start with the feast of the Passover that the Jewish people celebrated every
year and Mary and Joseph went there with Jesus when He was twelve and after they were there for their religious observances
they left. Now believing that Jesus was with them but He wasn’t; they went back to search for Him and they found Him
in the temple listening to the doctors and asking them questions and all those who were listing to Him were astonished at
His understanding and answers. When they found Him they were disturbed and they said; “why did you worry us.”
His answer was “don’t you understand that I must be about my Father’s business.”
Jesus
was twelve and talking to the religious crowd because of the Godly wisdom that was in Him and His Godly purpose was already
being manifested at this early age. Scripture tells parents to raise their children in the admonition of the Lord and
when they become older they will not stay unfocused and depart in fulfilling their Heavenly Father’s purposes in the
earth. Physiologists will tell you that a child by the age of three; has a mind set that will govern their way of reasoning
the rest of their life.
My wife and I would pray over our children while she was caring them and she would sing
to them. My oldest son to this day besides being a God focused called teacher of the Gospel; played in a rock band for
years in worldly night clubs and had alter calls after the performances. Many of these clubs were closed up after a time and
I believe because of God’s anointing; when we use it; it causes disruptions in the devil’s domain.
My
daughter while in a private school ministered to the class mates she sat with who were all unsaved and many having homo sexual
tendencies and coming from dysfunctional family back grounds with all kinds of demonic activity taking place.
Radical people go into the dark corners of the devil’s domain with the anointed
word and with boldness prophetically preach the gospel of Christ Jesus and ONLY THIS.
2.) We know that Jesus was
led into the wilderness as the Holy Ghost was ordering His steps and we must also allow Him to order our steps as He did for
Jesus. During our own wilderness worldly walk; we will also have to deal with the temptations of the devil as Jesus did.
Jesus always answered the devil with the word of God.
As I stated earlier; a Christian who has not had God’s
word planted deeply into the fleshly tables of their heart has no chance to be radical and know how to deal with the temptations
of the devil. When a person has God’s word fleshly planted into their heart; their main focus is seeking God with passion
and they know that their life has been apprehended by Him. A person who knows they have been apprehended by God the Father
has a relationship that affects the entire senses of their being and they walk by a drum beat that all born again believers
should be walking by however; there are many that have no clue to the power they have in Christ Jesus.
Scripture
tells us the truth when God says this in Isaiah 49; “Behold I have imprinted (tattooed) a picture of you on the palm
of My Hands and it can never be washed off and you are continually in my thoughts and eye sight.”
One thing
Jesus told the devil in His forty day fast to get him off His back was “You shall pay homage to and worship the Lord
your God and Him alone shall you serve.” This makes us know that He was totally focused and He had His vision for life
fixed and was addicted to the presence of God in His life. This only happens as we abandon our self to the holding and
all around security of God as we surrender and lean our whole personality on his grace and favor.
“Lord;
help us to surrender so this can happen.”
3.) Now we have an encounter in John 2: that Mary and Jesus had
at a wedding they attended with His disciples in the town of Cana. The wedding party had run out of wine and Mary knowing
who her son was told Him they were out. His comment to her was “woman; what does that have to do with you and
me. What do we have in common with this dilemma? However; leave it to me; although my time is not come yet.” Mary
then said to the servants, “what ever He says to you, do it.”
Jesus called His mother woman. When I first read that I thought; that this was a bit unloving
and He was indifferent. However; I believe that He was speaking through prophetic utterance through Christ who lived
in Him. Jesus also said the same thing when He was hanging on the cross as His mother saw Him dying and He said, “Women
behold your son.”
We know the consequence of Jesus honoring His mother’s request and her calling on
Christ with Him to do a radical miracle. He changed the water kegs to wine and everybody saw what He did to the point
that the wine He made was better then the first wine served.
In my walk with the Lord I have seen healings of all
kinds in and out of church services. We have heard and seen healings from cancer, legs growing, people being brought
back from the dead, diseases of all kinds healed by the miracle working power of the Holy Ghost and we praise God for this
and bow in worship. However; the point I wish to make is; this radical miracle was done in the normal every day associations
with common people attending a wedding. It says to me that we have a long way to go in maturity as to having signs and
wonders following our every day travels and becoming common place as we minister as Priests of God.
When
Jesus was around you could always expect a miracle or two to take place. It says to me that; we do not have to get stirred
up at some church assembling for hours to get the power of God to come on the scene and we as God‘s children should
on all occasions walk in the anointing and power we have in Christ constantly. Jesus miracles didn’t take hours
of prayer and worship.
4.) We now come to Jesus radicalness in an out right tirade as He and His mother went to
Jerusalem to celebrate the feast of the Passover. He made a whip and made a scene by driving those from the temple enclosure
out who were making God‘s house a place of selling animals of oxen, sheep and doves and scattered their money trays
every where. He then stated; “Make not my Father’s house a house of merchandising or a sales shop. It is
indeed grieving the Holy Ghost of how much of this is going on in many so called assemblies that say they honor God.
His disciples when seeing this were reminded of the Old Testament scriptures that stated, “The zeal-fervor of love-for
your house will eat me up and I will be consumed with jealousy for the honor of your house.”
Before we continue
on more of Jesus exploits let me make a side bar for a moment. Let’s remind our self that; we are the house of God that
he lives in if; we have become born again. God does not live in a house made with human hands. He lives in His
children who have Christ in them and we have the whole God head in our mortal bodies. Christ is a violent lover and He has
a great concern for His children who are living like rogues and not focused on their individuality and separation unto God
their Father and they are using their bodies as a house of merchandising or a sales shop. This can only happen if Christ Jesus
is not our first love causing us to not be going about doing our Heavenly Father’s business in the earth.
5.)
Jesus wasn’t concerned about what the religious crowd thought of Him. He was doing the work of an evangelist every where
in His daily travels as He had an encounter with a woman at Jacob’s well. It was always Jesus intent to be ministering
to people daily. This was His utmost priority. Again we are also God’s children and this must be our first priority.
Jesus ministry as a radical was that of a prophetic minister. He used His anointing in reading the hearts
of people. In this encounter at Jacobs well he asked this woman to give Him a drink of water. She thought; this
is weird because she was a Samaritan woman and the Jewish people didn’t think very favorably about them as Jesus was
Jewish. She said to Jesus “how come you being Jewish are asking me for water.”
This then opened
a dialogue with her in Him telling her that “if she really knew who was asking her for water; she would be asking Him
for living water.” Well we know or should know that Jesus the Evangelist was talking to her about eternal life.
He then proceeded to read her mail and told her how many times she had been married in her endeavor to find true love with
purpose.
This is the prophetic gift we also have with in us with the power to read people’s mail in
our travels to minister Christ Jesus to those who oppose them self as unsaved lost people and also those who are God’s
children living in an ignorant state as to the power they have to minister in the power of the Holy Ghost.
6. We
next have an encounter that Jesus had in Jerusalem as He healed the man at the pool of Bethesda who had been crippled for
thirty eight years.
Scripture tells us in a certain
season; an angel of the Lord would come down to this pool where there were people with every kind of illness gathered to be
healed and the first person who stepped into the water after the angel stirred it up; would receive their healing.
I
believe from scripture that for us; these seasons represent that God at all times wants to stir the waters in our life so
that we can make a decision that causes us to want to experience His presence and power whenever and where ever we need it.
When Jesus showed up at the pool; he knew the man had been there thirty eight years waiting to be healed. He
said to the man; “do you really want to be healed.” His answer was “there never was a man to put in
the water and another got in first before me.” He was then instantly healed and walked away.
Let’s
try to understand the unintended consequences of this action, and decisions that take place because of the complications that
comes against our desired results in our attempt to be radical in purpose and also in us receiving the healings we need in
our own life from God the Father.
There are mental and emotional growing pains that are encountered as we
attempt to understand the working of the Holy Ghost in following Jesus example and the type of verbal interaction Jesus was
having with this man. Let’s truly know and want Jesus to work the same miracles in our life and us to do the same for
others.
The word Bethesda means; a house of kindness and it also defines the spirits at work behind the season
trying to stop the miracle power of Christ to fail because; we have not cast our whole personality and learned to trust God
by putting our life in his hands and on His anointing that want’s us to function as kings and priests in His service.
Bethesda also gives the connotation of a troublesome or oppressive situation that is very difficult to escape from
and it causes a person to experience shame, disgrace, dishonor and disfigurement. It also represents opposition with a determined
or stubbornness plan, or opinion that is difficult to shake off, or pull away from. This is what troubled waters represent.
It causes a person to stay double minded and being in a state between two opinions. As God’s children; He want’s
to mature and totally deliver us from this indecision.
The devil’s main tool is to create a spirit of confusion
as to the power we have as God’s children and his intent is to create an atmosphere of putting shame, dishonor in our
mind and making us see our self as disfigured which is any thought or picture of seeing our self contrary to how God sees
us with Christ’s image in us.
We must know that; we can always go to God’s house to receive His kindness
but we must truly believe it. With the same intensity that God our Father has to empower and deliver his children to
walk in the richness of their inheritance He gave them which represents; His life in all areas; the devil with the same intensity
is trying to kill, steal and destroy in all areas.
I personally believe from my growing pains and the victories
and defeats in my own life; yes I said defeats which were not intentionally but through my ignorance of God’s ways;
I have and am continually learning that God is faithful and he can be trusted; when I experience the attack of the enemy in
trying to make me believe that; the God I walk with daily and trust in has somehow forgotten about me. If we are told by Jesus
that our radicalness is empowered by us staying as a child trusting in our Father’s loving security; then it is obvious
that we must be dying to self and letting go and letting God.
8. We now have another radical miracle that Jesus
did when he fed the five thousand people with five loafs of bread and two small fish supplied by a young boy who was present
with Jesus His disciples with the people gathered. In this encounter after they were fed; they had twelve baskets of food
left over. When the people saw this radical miracle; they wanted to make him their king; Him knowing this; He left their presence
and went to be alone away from every body. (I believe He would go into seclusion to talk to God his father.)
Reading
through the New Testament; you find Jesus always pointed to the fact that it was not Him doing these miracles but God the
Father who sent Christ Jesus to earth to have Him point the people to the God of the universe who wanted to have fellowship
with the people he created.
This should make us aware that the universe is controlled by a Fatherly Spirit of love
and security. Jesus was the one who got us to see the kingdom of God and get us into it however; it is God the Father
through the working of the Holy Ghost which empowers us to do the radical miracles as Jesus did in our life.
As
this story continues; the disciples got in a boat and crossed the sea that led to Capernaum. They were about four miles
out at night and the sea was rough and Jesus came walking on the water towards the boat to join them. His appearance
scared them but once they recognized who he was; they let him in the boat and He went with them to the other side.
The following day because the same people could not find Jesus; they got into their own boats and crossed over trying to
find Him. When they found Him they asked Him how He got over because they knew He was not in the boat with the disciples when
they left to cross over.
Now the point I believe we need to focus on is this. Jesus told them even though they
saw the miracles he did they still didn’t believer who he was and that; they only followed Him because He gave them
food to feed their bellies. It seems to me in spite of the fact of the radical miracles Jesus performed; it should have
been enough to make them believe who He was however; it was not and we need to look a little deeper to our attempt to be radical.
Let me start by saying this. There is an oneness relationship of bonding between our Papa God being our Father as
His born again children; that transcends the wisdom of our own thinking. I am saying this under the anointing of the
Holy Ghost at this very moment.
If the miracles that Jesus did back then were not enough for the people to believe;
human nature has not changed over these many years and the same scenario still continues. Scripture tells us that signs
and wonders will follow them who believe however; we do not walk with Jesus because of signs and wonders. We walk and
have fellowship with the Lord because; we have a deep love for Him.
This is only motivated and maintained
because; we are experiencing His undying love and attention in our daily travels moment by moment. All radicalness from God
is motivated and activated by a deep love relationship between God and our self. Jesus love act of dying for man kind
was the beginning and central core of all life in getting to know the God of the universe. Our radicalness must come from
God Himself because; His power has a multiply effect that has power over what he created on the earth and the heavens.
Since all he created is under his command do to his final authority as author; we as his children have been given His authority
with his power to maintain what he has already created.
Scripture tells us that God’s reasoning focuses
on mending mankind’s fallen nature with out having an accusative nature towards them. Our radicalness must come
from the same focus and we must be coming in the name of Lord to heal and deliver man kind from their crippledness from what
Satan has inflicted on God’s creation.
God deals with bondages of spiritual heart issues that His children
and the unsaved world are inflicted with because of them not being aware of His intensions which are to deliver His creation
from demonic attack and bondages of all kinds. We must if; we truly want to be radical empowered people of God summit
our life to Godly wisdom and see the world as God sees it. Our good intensions are commendable however; we must let
God build His house or we in our ignorance or self righteous religious efforts will be laboring in vain.
All prosperity
whether in health or financial endeavors of food etc. come from the same miracle working power that Jesus flowed in from God
the Father as he changed water into wine or bread and fish into enough food to feed thousands. Our anointing that constantly
lives in us; is the same anointing that operated in Jesus because; this was what empowered His inheritance that he received
from His Father and where all of God’s ideas become manifested in the flesh as tangible physical evidence to be used
in God‘s service.
