KNOWING OUR STEPS ARE BEING ORDERED BY THE LORD
PART TWO
Are main text is, 1.) “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delights
in His ways. 2.) Though he falls, he shall not utterly be cast down for the Lord will uphold him with His
hand. 3.) I have been young and now I am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging
for bread. 4.) God is ever merciful and is a giver and his seed is blessed. 5.) However, we need to depart
from evil and be well and live forever more. 6.) For the Lord loves judgment and does not forsake His saints.
7.) They are preserved forever; however, the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 8.) The righteous shall
inherit the land and live therein forever. 9.) The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom and his tongue talks of judgment.
10.) The law of God is in his heart and none of his steps shall slide.”
We will continue with step 5.
5.) However, if we depart from evil, we will be well and dwell forever more
. The word for
depart is
suwr: meaning, leave undone, rebel against and be turned off to. The word for
evil is
ra:
meaning, wretchedness, to feed on and keep company with evil and to live in distress. The word for
good is
towb:
meaning, having favor with God. The word for
dwell is
shakan: meaning, to reside permanently, to lie down and
rest, and to rise every morning with a new awareness. The word for
forever is
ad: meaning, ordered by God to
live forever.
Putting it all together, it reads. “If we will turn off and not yield to evil, we will receive
more of God’s favor by living in a state of resting and being renewed by Him daily. This is what God ordained should
happen to us from the begging of time.” Now in order to resist and put away evil you have to recognize it operating
in your life. Scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit is the one who teaches us and washes our souls from thoughts contrary
to God’s ways. This happens when we engage in conversations with Him constantly. When we say soul, we are talking about
the real us. This is our intellect, will and emotions. We are to have our souls washed by the water of the God’s word.
It cleanses us from all unrighteous thinking.
Too many Christians in the body of Christ look at unrighteousness as behavioral sins or outward manifestations,
this meaning lying, stealing, murder, anger, cursing and the like. All of these can be expanded on as the bible talks about
many more types of sins. However, these are the results or the fruit that we bear in our behavior. Unless we deal with core
of the problem which is us being ignorant of God’s word and living in unrighteous thinking, we end up being
God’s own children, living like paupers, being inept and having little power if any to live the true Christian life.
The main foundation missing which causes Christians to never be committed and be receiving God’s favor is ignorance
of knowing God Himself and the position they hold as His children.
As we have stated word righteousness is, justification= (blameless), innocent= (free from evil)
and holy = (set apart as God’s own handy work.) Anything being taught contrary to this interpretation is,
unrighteous thinking which represents evil. Righteousness is the personality of the Holy Spirit and as our soul is internally
being influenced by Him, our outward behavior changes. Unrighteousness in its many disguises is demonically induced and our
souls are manipulated by this spirit. In turn, we produce evil or act contrary to God’s will. An ignorant Christian
especially if, they are sitting under traditional church doctrine and hearing conditional love theme teaching, have no chance
of ever becoming independent and learn to know their true position in Jesus Christ. This happens when; we do not seek God
on our own daily and become independent in thinking for ourselves with God’s thoughts.
Let’s think about what we are being influenced by, in our arena of life. Paul the Apostle reminds the
church at Ephesus in Eph. 6:10-12 that, “We are to be strong in the Lord. We cannot do this unless, we know the
type of union we have with Him and we need to be constantly drawing our strength from Him because, it is endless. We need
to allow God to put His armor on us. This is what a heavy-armed soldier would wear and it can only be supplied
by Him. With His armor on us, we will be able to resist evil because; we will know the Devils strategies and deceits. God
will constantly be reminding us that, our battles are not with each other but with master spirits that represent darkness.
We have strife with one another when; we are ignorant of God’s way of reasoning. Satan’s forces
are deployed over strategic places in the atmosphere above us.” When strife comes into play, this is a sign
of baby Christians on the milk of the word and living in sibling rivalry. This means they live in an ignorant state of kingdom
principles and they have no clue as to their identity in Christ.
At this moment as I am writing this, the Holy Spirit is making me aware that, this is a matter of life and
death to God’s children. Playing church in any form is going to end or God is going to remove people from pulpits and
replace them with humble people, which will nurture God’s people because they are determined to do His bidding. The
Devil is relentless and passionately meditating on his plan in pursuing God’s children to steal, kill and destroy all
of us because, he knows that, we have the potential to make a difference for God. There is a great passion in me in writing
these articles, to awaken the mighty men and women who God is calling into the field, to restore and save people of all races.
We as God’s children are under attack and unless we become grounded and deep rooted in knowing whom
we worship, we will limp our way into heaven with out totally giving ourselves to God for His ultimate sacrifice at the cross.
This happens because; we do not redeem the time for the day in which we are living is evil. Church attendance has no meaning
if; we are not actively seeking the Lord daily and testifying in the market place of the love of God to others. There must
come an independents in the body of Christ where, people begin to recognize that no one else can do their seeking or praying
and act as a mediator between God and themselves. Only Jesus is the mediator between God and mankind.
6.) For the Lord loves judgment and does not forsake His saints. When I first
read this verse many years ago, I thought, I don’t want to get on God’s wrong side or He will wipe me out. Then
I thought how does God judge me with that kind of sternness and still say that, I won’t feel like He has forsaken me.
This idea of God’s judgment is the most misunderstood doctrines with in the Christian community. Let’s now try
to get a true picture of God’s way of judging. The word for love is Ahab: meaning, to have affection for
as a friend. The word for judgment is mispat: meaning, a verdict, favorable or unfavorable, or a right or a
privilege, to be vindicated or to punish. The word for forsake is azab: meaning, to be loosed or to be left
destitute. The word for Saint is chaciyd: meaning, having a reverence and by His grace we are
considered to be an equal, or to kneel and humble one self in blessing God.
Putting it all together, it reads. “The Lord has great affection for us and wants to be our friend.
He is trying to make us realize that we have to give Him the right to approve or disapprove of our hearts condition. His total
commitment to us is to never let go of us or to leave us destitute. The reason why we can experience this relationship is
because; we are staying in a place of bowing our hearts and bending our knee in submission to his Fatherly authority. As this
takes place we become aware that, there is an equality of common authority and special privilege at his side.” Let
me give you a simple example from scripture and there are many I could use of God’s attitude in chastising us as a loving
Father. This one comes from the Book of Revelations, where John the Apostle had words of praise and words of chastisement
to the seven churches mentioned. In Revelations chapter three, he was reprimanding the church that was at Laodicica on their
self-sufficiency and telling them that God wanted to correct them in some areas.
In Rev. 3:18-20 it reads, “ I counsel you to A. buy from Me B. gold C. refined
and tested by fire, that you may be truly wealthy and D. white clothes to clothe you so that, you can
E. keep the shame of you nudity from being seen. The clothes that I want to put on you will not make you feel
ashamed of your self any longer because, I will anoint you eyes with an F. eye salve so that you will really see
my love and purposes for your lives. Those that I love, I rebuke and chasten; therefore, be zealous and repent.
I stand at the door of your heart and knock: if you will open the door and let me into your life, we will have dinner together.”
God always stands at our hearts door and knocks, but we must give him permission to come in because, He is
A JEALOUS LOVER. We will now define these underlined terms from the Greek.
A.) Buy:
To repossess something we have lost and awake from a slumber we have been in and become active again in our
relationship with him.
B.) Gold:
This is the power God gives us to change our attitude to comply with doing what He just said. This gold is
His grace.
C.) Gold refined and tried by fire:
Grace, which is the power that He gives us, will be tested and tried in the process we will be going through
to change. God’s grace not only heals, but it also destroys the spiritual decease, behavior and strongholds in our lives
that keep God’s abundance from us. There are things in our lives that have to be shaken loose, so the only thing left
standing is His perfect will. He goes on to say, if we allow this process to take place, it will make us truly rich in God’s
sight. Why? It opens up our spirit to receive everything and more that God wants to give us for our every need. God
is more then enough.
D.) White clothes to clothe:
We need to look at ourselves the same way God sees us. When He looks at us, He sees Jesus. Remember we are
the righteous of God in Christ. God sees us as blameless, free from evil and set apart, as God’s own handy work.
This concept has to be reinforced in us by the Holy Spirit, because of the negative influences bombarding our minds daily.
11 Peter 3:14 tells us that, “Jesus is coming back for a church without spot and wrinkle and for people that have
a serene confidence in their relationship with Him.” When we live in this healthy concept and it dominates our
mind and hearts, it keeps us free from fears, agitating passions and moral conflict.
All evil or sin falls into these three categories. It is fear in one form or another that causes agitating
passion and moral conflicts. The opposite of this is found in Romans 14:17 where Paul the Apostle says, “The Kingdom
of God is not meat or drink but, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Unrighteous thinking or evil
produces fear, agitating passions and moral conflicts. Righteous thinking produces, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy
Spirit.
E.) Our nudity or shame from being seen.
The nudity or shame talked about here is a thought pattern that causes us painful feelings because of a sense
of guilt and unworthiness that can plague us at times. It is the same shame based nature that Jesus came to deliver us from
by giving up His life at the cross. Just as Adam and Eve hid from God in the Garden because of their shame, we do the same
because we run from God rather then approaching Him for his mercy to receive His grace and healing power. When we do not receive
God’s grace our minds or thinking process’s keep us focused on our outward behavior. This keeps us with a sin
conscious mentality and we focus on the lack in our lives.
F.) Eye salve on your eyes so you may really see.
The definition of eye salve means, to keep company with or to be joined and glued to. It also means a “poultice.”
A poultice is a warm substance like a plaster that in the physical is put on different parts of the body to heal it. You
will notice here that God says that, “we must have the eye salve put on our spiritual eyes if, we are really going
to see.” From scripture let me give you an example of this.
In John chapter 9:1-7 as Jesus was walking along He noticed a blind man that was blind from birth. His disciples
asked Him, “Master who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” You will notice
here that the disciples had a condemning thought rather then a loving thought. Jesus answer was, “Neither was
this sin his or his parent’s sin, but he was born blind so that I can manifest my mercy and healing power. I must be
about my Father’s business while I am in the world, because I am the light or life of the world.” He then
spit on the ground and made mud (poultice) with His saliva, and spread it as an ointment His (Anointing) on
the man’s eyes.
He then told him to go wash at the pool of Siloam. Therefore, he went and came back seeing. In the Hebrew
concordance, the word for Siloam where he told him to go and wash represents an attitude of (putting away one condition
and embracing another condition.) Now pertaining to the blind man, his latter condition was a lot more favorable then
his former condition. As born again believers it is a positive command form God that, we allow Him to (anoint
our spiritual eyes with the eye salve of… (! Himself! )…. It is then that, we begin to interpret His thoughts
and purposes clearly without distortions of the truth. We know from scripture that the word Christ means, the anointed
one. The anointing that is in Him is now in us. It is a permanent gift given to us by God. It is the power of God
working in our thought life, and being, that arouses those heart-felt feelings that God wants to impart to us, to supply our
needs and the needs of others. It is the power of the Holy Spirit, and we need to interact with him daily to understand life
and how to be kingdom kids walking with our heads up in the spirit.
This whole concept of judgment by God is nothing more then, us not recognizing the difference between a condemning
spirits verses us being chastised by the Spirit of God.
1Corinthians 2:16 says, “Since we have been born from above, we have received the mind of Christ
and hold His (thoughts, feelings and purposes) of His heart.” Our lives can now be directed by
the Holy Spirit speaking into the new spiritual ears we have received. We now have the ability to correctly communicate with
God. There are too many Christians still functioning under a spirit of condemnation and believe that, this is the Spirit of
God. Therefore, their spiritual walk with the Lord has become hindered. The spirit of condemnation makes you feel like, your
always being punished. You feel like you always have to defend yourself and your decision-making is always being questioned.
It becomes frustrating to do right. You would just as soon go and watch a movie or do something that makes you feel good.
In turn, a spirit of hopelessness comes over you and you just don’t think anybody cares. Now there are degrees of these
kinds of feelings.
In John 3:18-19 Jesus says, “He who believes on me, trusts and relies on me, never comes
up for judgment. For him there is no rejection, condemnation or damnation. But he who will not accept
Jesus, who wants to live his life in darkness and not come into the light, or allow God to show them their immature ways and
allow Him to change them. He has already been judged and convicted. He is condemned for refusing to let his trust, rest in
Christ’s finished work at the cross (alone.)” This condemnation and being judged is not God judging
us, but us judging ourselves because of the guilt we feel toward ourselves. Jesus was not only talking about the unsaved,
but also about the sick heart condition of a born again believer. A religious spirit at work with in a born again believer
hinders the Holy Spirit from searching our hearts, where the issues of life are formed. This terribly grieves the Holy Spirit
when we do not give Him permission to heal our hearts from dead works, which is unrighteousness.
Remember anything unrighteous is evil. This spirit of us needing to help God out to keep ourselves free from
sin and hell is running ramped with in the body of Christ. 1John 3:20 says “In all situations whenever our hearts
in (tormenting) self accusation makes us feel guilty and condemns us. God is forever holding on to us, is more
loving, and knows how we feel and is understanding in all things. Nothing is hidden from Him.”
! Remember God is love not someone who does loving acts therefore, His love never ends!
As long as we allow the spirit of condemnation to govern our lives, the power we need to love God, others,
and ourselves cannot take place. We make the cross of Jesus Christ of non-effect in our lives. Condemnation is the enemy that
stops us from experiencing God’s love and hugs that we need daily. It is only us growing in a deep love relationship
with Him that really changes countenance to be like Him. When we allow the spirit of condemnation to control our thinking
processes, it affects our soul and it’s like us committing spiritual suicide. When we put condemnation on each other,
we actually are committing murder. This is one of the most damaging and serious things we can do in offending God and one
another.
Proverbs 3:11-13 says, “My son do not despise the chastening of the Lord. Neither get weary of
His correction. For whom the Lord loves, He corrects. Because, God as a Father delights in His children. Happy
is the man that finds wisdom and the man that gets understanding.” As we are being influenced by God’s
Righteous Spirit, we begin to understand that, God’s Spirit of chastisement is a protective hedge or a safety net that
He puts around us, His children. He did the same for Adam as He walked with him in the Garden of Eden. The word for garden
means a protective hedge. God’s way of instructing us is that of a visionary. His chastisement is He showing
us how much He loves us and how much more we can become in Him. This is what should be motivating us to walk in obedience
to His will. His unconditional love and promises cannot be obtained by us living in fear that, He is going to beat us up or
condemn us. He wants to set us free from all of the things in our life style that hinders us from having a healthy relationship
with Him.
We have to look at chastisement as a spirit that we walk in, just as we breathe air ever day. This is what
walking in the Spirit is all about. Let’s remember it was Jesus who fought the fight against sin for the world and as
He died, He said, “It is finished.” We need to be constantly looking at the cross and be reminded
that, it is not our struggle for perfection that motivates God to move on our behalf, but it is His mercy and grace.
Scripture tells us that if we do not allow God to protect and discipline us, we are illegitimate off springs
and not true sons and daughters. There will be times when God will be disciplining us and we will not be feeling joyful, and
we will think, this really stinks. However, after we go through these seasons of growth, we will reap a greater understanding
of how to walk in God’s Righteous Spirit. This meaning, we will be better able to understand God’s purposes, thoughts
and actions. Unless we begin to have a fellow feeling with the Holy Spirit, we will never know God’s true feelings for
us.
7.) They are preserved forever; however, the seed of the wicked shall be cut
off. The word for preserved is shamar: meaning, hedged about, guarded and attentive in all situations.
The word for forever is olam: meaning, hidden, never out of mind (past or future) and without end. The word
for seed again is zera: meaning, to sow, to yield, to bear fruit or to conceive by receiving an inheritance. The word
for wicked is rasha: meaning, to be morally wrong, be condemned and guilty and un-god like. The word for cut
is karath: meaning, be destroyed or consumed and to make covenant with a loser. The word for off is al: meaning,
against in all aspects. Putting it all together, it reads.
“God’s saints which are born again believers can be guarded and protected by God with a hedge
round and about them in every situation of their lives. It is God’s intention to deliver us from all of our fears by
letting us know that, our concerns are always his concerns. It is His intension to keep us constantly pregnant with His total
wealth and presence so that, all of our needs are met, physically and emotionally. When we think in terms contrary to our
righteousness in Christ and do not participate with God’s righteous Spirit, what we do is lean to our own understanding
and what we put our hand to never prospers. What we do is make a pact or agreement with the devil in some form or another.
This separates us from all aspects of God’s favor because we hold Him off from blessing us.”
In 1John 3:1-10 John the Apostle talks about the difference of us being righteous or unrighteous. I will
paraphrase. “Do we see what an incredible quality of love the Father has given us, that we are called His children?
The reason why the world system doesn’t recognize us is because; they didn’t recognize Him when He walked the
earth. We are now the children of God and a work in progress and are becoming more like Him every day. When we see Him, face
to face we will be just like Him. Every one who understands their righteous position in Christ is constantly being purified
from their dead works of unrighteousness. This meaning, they stop living in guilt in any form. Everyone that commits sin is
breaking the law and is not flowing in His righteous position. Jesus became a man to die on the cross so He could take away
our sinful nature. Their was no sin in Him and He was without blemish of any kind.
No one who habitually has fellowship with Him commits sin. If we are still sinning then in reality, we don’t
really know Him as He really is. Let no one make you believe that you have to do things to be or stay righteous. If you are
righteous because God says you are then, you are righteous. Now if you sin and commit evil, you are being influenced by the
devil because the devil constantly violates God’s divine laws. Jesus came to set us free from this addiction. No one
who is born again (deliberately and knowingly practices sin) because, God’s divine seed or sperm remains permanently
with in them. In turn, he can not sin because he is the offspring of God.”
Many of you reading this and me saying that, God does not look at us as a sinner will think that this is
blasphemous. Now here is the core problem with in the born again believer. Just looking at this from a simple
physical example is very revealing. Let’s say your last name is Jones. You are the offspring of Mary and Joe Jones.
You were made with your father’s sperm and the egg from your mother’s womb. As an offspring from these two people,
no matter where they roam and how long they live, will always be a Jones child. As they grow up, they will take on your parent’s
characteristics and general appearance.
They could eventually go to court, change their name, and have nothing to do with their parents but, no one
on this plant can remove the D.N.A. with in them and make them an illegitimate child. When the born again believer does not
walk in their permanent position in Christ, they have been persuaded that, they are illegitimate in their own minds. This
is what happens when we function as I said in a sin conscious mentality. Sin conscious people are those that live by rules,
regulation and denominational traditions. When this happens, they never grow to become independent and they cannot make free
will choices, because they are afraid of God in some form.
We see her that God’s seed is Himself. He wants to sow life experiences after experiences
with and through us as, we flow in our heritage. What is it going to take for us to really believe this? If Jesus went to
the cross as an unblemished sacrifice or with out spot or wrinkle as we have said, then when we accepted Jesus sacrifice at
the cross and were adopted into the family, we are looked at by God as unblemished too.
Scripture tells us that Jesus was the first born again believer among many other born again believers. Jesus
is our brother and God the Father is His Father as well as our Father. When unrighteous thinking prevails in our heart and
mind, we cut our self off from participating in our right standing with God the Father. Therefore, I hope we are beginning
to see that we have to understand the core of the problem and allow God to show us who we really are. You cannot hang out
with the Holy Spirit and not have your outward behavior change.
8.) The righteous shall inherit the land and live therein forever. We have already
stated two times that, the word righteous means, God looks at us as blameless, free from evil and set
apart as His own handy work. Now we need to come into agreement with God on how He sees us. This will cause us to
rightly interpret the scriptures with the mind of Christ that we received, the day we became born again. The word for inherits
is yaresh: meaning, to occupy by driving out previous tenants or to seize and take possession absolutely and completely.
The word for land is erets: meaning wilderness world.
We said the word live means, to reside permanently, to lie down and rest, and to rise every morning with
a new awareness. The word therein is al: meaning, in all aspects of a spiritual walk with the Lord. We said
earlier that the word forever meant ordered by God to live forever.
Putting it all together, it reads. “If we look at our selves as God sees us being blameless,
free from evil and set apart as His own handy work, we will be able to turn back or defeat the Devil’s tactics who’s
spirit occupies the atmosphere in the arenas of our lives and, we will have the power to drive him out. We can do this
because; we are resting in God’s accomplishments and not in our own accomplishments. This takes place as we allow the
Holy Spirit access to totally weave His Spirit in and out of us at His will. This is our inheritance from God that allows
us to live forever tied to Him.”
This forever tied to Him condition; no matter how hard we are being lead to believe that some circumstance
can cause this relationship to be broken is a lie right from the core and pit of hell itself.
Matthew 4:1-10 roll models for us the Christian walk by Jesus Himself. I will define as we go along. “Jesus
was led into the (wilderness by the Holy Spirit) to be tempted by the Devil.” This
word wilderness means a solitary place of habitation in the seasons of our lives here on earth. You will also notice that,
Jesus was being lead by the Holy Spirit. You see it was Jesus plan to get alone with His Heavenly Father to get away from
the distractions of life and find out what his Fathers perfect will was for His life. “When Jesus had fasted and
prayed for forty day and nights, He became hungry.” Then the tempter (the Devil) came and said, “If
you believe yourself to be the son of God, make a miracle and command these stones on the ground to become loaves of bread
to satisfy your hunger.”
The devil who has studied human nature from the beginning of time knows how to manipulate our fleshly appetites
by getting us to get our needs met by our own initiatives or our own efforts. You notice that, he tried to influence Jesus
by questioning Him to doubt His position as God’s son. When we act on the Devils temptations, we operate in unrighteousness
and disobedience, which we said is evil.
Jesus answered, as He was directed by the Holy Spirit. “Man must not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God” This word for bread in the Greek
is artos: meaning, the implication of how a loaf of bread rises. The Greek says it means to expiate sin or the power
of atoning for our sins as a weight being lifted off our souls. We received the bread of life the day we received Jesus into
our hearts. We must now go on, develop a symbiotic relationship with the Holy Spirit, and walk in obedience of ever word that
comes out of His mouth.
Jesus was put on trial by the Devil and was trying to get him to focus on the word of God in right and wrong
concepts rather then His righteous unblemished position in the sight of His heavenly Father. The devil will also put us on
trial in our temptations to focus on right and wrong thinking and lean towards our own understanding in our own minds
rather then listing to the Holy Spirit and understand our righteous position in Christ. This happens because we truly do not
recognize our position as God sons and daughters. Because the majority in the body of Christ is in the baby stage and are
ignorant of God’s ways, it causes them to try to help God out by doing things in His service of unrighteous endeavors
that have no eternal purposes. Jesus said that, “we do not live by bread alone but by every word that comes out
of the Holy Spirits mouth.”
This is not a difficult concept to understand if, we have our spiritual ears are opens and we have a healthy
right interpretation of what I am saying here. My discernment tells me as I reason with the scriptures that, there is a great
spiritual stupor on people and they have to be set free to finally interpret the word of God as the Holy Spirit only
as He teaches it
This concept of understanding is found in Romans 3:19- it states, “We know that what ever the
law says it speaks to only to those who are under the law. = (The Ten Commandments). Therefore, now that we
know the law, no man or woman can make an excuse for his or her behavior and the whole world will be judged by God’s
written word. Where there is no written law the people have their own value system that they live by with in themselves. Now
no man will be justified or made righteous, acquitted and judged acceptable in God’s sight by observing
the works proscribed by the law.”
The real purpose of the law was to make man conscious of breaking them. Not only conscious of sin, but they
will have a more acquit awareness because of their participation in their physical behavior of sin. It is this process of
our awareness of sinning that makes man aware that he needs to repent and believe on Jesus, which causes our outward character
to change.
! Now in order to be righteous in God, we have to become independent or free to make un-obligated choices
and stop trying to be good!
However, the Old and New Testament goes hand and hand to bring God’s perfection to its full maturity
in our lives. To be righteous as God sees us, we have to put our trust in the finished work of Jesus, at the cross-alone.
Since all have sinned and fallen short of walking in God’s glory, all people who are saved are looked at by God now
as being blameless and guiltless and in right standing. This happens when we become born again and we continue to experience
it as we live in His grace. The law was a school master or a tool God used to make us aware that we had broken a God
given law. When God gave Moses the law, it was never given to be kept in the first place. It was given to minister
death to those who were kept under it until the Christ would come to reveal the true heart of His Heavenly Father,
who also is our Father. The law said the soul that sins will surely die! We had no strength in ourselves to over come temptations
when it pricked our souls or inner emotions to violate God’s decrees. That was why Jesus died so we could
Walk in God’s power, receive His nature, and live to do the same acts He did but only by God’s
Righteous Spirit on the earth.
When we become born again, we received His grace or unmerited favor and now, we have to learn how to walk
in it. This has to happen if we are going to be people functioning in God’s Kingdom. Where sin or un-righteous thinking
is flourishing in our lives, God gives more of His grace to offset this tendency. His grace is His Righteous Spirit.
Lets get some spiritual discernment working here and finally recognize that, you can only sin if you are
still thinking you need to be measuring up to religious traditions and following rules of obligation and garbage doctrines
being influenced by the Devil. Since we are born again believers, we are no longer to live under laws. Therefore, we only
sin when we go back under a law mentality. Being a Christian in the process of maturing is not a sinner, just because they
are still messing their dippers in some area of life.
What happens when we sit under influences of right and wrong teachings of behavior, ingest in our minds and
think in these terms? We come back under the law and we fall under God’s judgments of breaking laws. This is a concept
that non-saved people live under and at one time, we used to live under, but we are no longer since, we are born again believers.
God’s decrees of healthy thinking were set down by Him from the beginning of time. If we are ignorant of His plan of
righteous thinking, our trust in Him is unstable. If you’re in a church teaching this right and wrong
concepts of life, run for your life and walk in the freedom God’s gave you when you became His son or daughter.
9.) The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom and his tongue talks of judgment. The word for mouth
is peh: meaning, as a means of blowing, to take sides with, two edged and to be spoken. We said righteous was the blameless
condition God sees in us. The word for speaks is hagah: meaning to ponder, imagine, to meditate or study. The
word for wisdom is chokmah: meaning, being constantly learning and skilful in using wisdom. The word for tongue:
is shonah: meaning an ingot, a fork or flame, a cove of water or a wedge. The word for talk is dabar: meaning,
to appoint command, name, teach or subdue. The word for judgment is misrah: meaning, an empire and to govern
and prevail as a prince.
Putting it all together and it is a mouthful to ingest, it reads. “We the righteous if we know how
to function in our position in Christ. Will be studying and meditating on God’s word day and night. Our understanding
of God will increase and we will know how to function in God’s authority as a prince because, we are being trained by
the Holy Spirit and are becoming molded into a vassal that can stand the heat of battle in our role to take back what
the Devil has stolen.”
It is my hope that you are beginning to see that when we vacillate between looking at our self with a judgment
eye verses our spotless condition as God sees us, it will be impossible to take our authority and do the works of Jesus on
this earth. It is that old love limerick. He loves me; He loves me not that causes us to live in double mindedness.
In James 1:5-8 He states, “If any of you is lacking in Godly wisdom, let Him ask God who gives
to everyone generously and without fault finding and we will receive it from Him.” Unless we allow the
Holy Spirit to deliver us from this faultfinding mentality with in our selves, we will continue to lack Godly
wisdom because, we don’t accept ourselves in our God righteous position. As I said, we are eternally righteous
after being born again. However, we have to believe that we are, if we are going to function with God’s power. It is
us speaking and testifying the Holy Spirits thoughts that creates a protected hedge around us as we travel in a Devil ordained
atmosphere of being influenced by unrighteous thinking. God’s thoughts and ways have to become our thoughts and ways.
An ignorant Christian is unstable and in bondage to their fleshly desires. They constantly lean toward their
own understanding in living the Christian life. In John 5:24 Jesus states with great emphases “I most solemnly
tell you, the person whose ears are open to my words, who listens to my message and believes and trusts on Him who sent me
(possess now) eternal life. Because of this, he does not come into judgment and come under condemnation because;
he has passed over out of death into life.” Unless we, who are called to pass judgment, as a prince of God,
on this planet and are proclaiming God’s way of judging, we will be doing more cursing and bringing more death than
life to others and ourselves.
10.) The law of God is in his heart and none of his steps shall slide.” The
word for law is torah: meaning, a precept, to teach or to inform. The word for heart is leb: meaning
the center of everything, our intellect, will and emotions, or our mind. The word for steps as we have said is, companionship
on a daily basis. The word for slide is maad: meaning, made to not shake, slip or waver. Putting it all together,
it reads. “If God’s attitudes and feelings are being followed as we are having fellowship with Him on a
daily basis. We will have the inspired confidence that we can succeed because, we know that God is true and someone that we
can totally trust.”
You will notice here that, this verse points out that what really counts is our relationship with Him. The
word step is not us planning our own security and out-word manifestations of unrighteousness or righteousness works. Real
security in one self with total independent thinking comes by, us hanging out with the Holy Spirit, letting Him point out
to us how important, and favored we are as God’s children.
Our total focus is us knowing God, not from the benefits of knowing God. This for me at times has become
a trial that has me wrestling with myself of dying to self from taking care of my own needs rather then focusing on allowing
God to love and take care of me. If any thing is desperately needed with in the body of Christ, it is us learning how to let
go and let God love us. I have become convinced that God set a plan in order in the Universe that, as we go through
seasons of our lives, these seasons are there for us to discover His mercy and grace. Every thing in life has His mark on
it and leads us to Him.
In Psalms 38: David the King, who was a man after God’s own heart, cries out to God from the depth
of his own heart for His mercy and grace and God heard him.
When we know we have a heart like God’s, it’s only then that, we focus our attention and passion
on finding him.
I will paraphrase King David’s heart from the Hebrew interpretation as we go along. He states, “Lord
don’t let me feel like, you are disappointment and angry at me. Don’t inflict physical or physiological pain on
me but, keep a reasonable time limit on your discipline and temper your displeasure on me for what I have done. There is no
soundness in my flesh because, I feel that you think I am worthless and I have no peace of mind with in me. My thoughts of
my sinful behavior have become a heavy weight upon my mind and I cannot carry this load any more. I have become spell bound
and am focusing on my black and blue marks of me beating myself up and hating my self because, I am depraved and have
acted like a man who has no understanding of your ways.
I am depressed and am feeling sorry for myself to the point that my stomach is upset and I am physically
sick. I am becoming weaker every day and I am complaining with in myself because I have nowhere to find peace of mind. Lord,
I am being transparent as I can be before you and being as honest as I can be. I am not attempting to live in denial as to
my condition. My hunger for you has not left me but, I am fearful that I can’t continue to hunger after you because,
I can’t hear or see you working in my life any more. I am also being judged by everybody around me as being a sinful
man. The people that I love, my family and friends tell me that, I deserve what I am getting from your hand and more is coming.
However, I have learned from you how to not repay back an evil judgment for evil judgment. I did not reprove these people
because, my hope is and only will be in your justifications of my behavior and it’s in you alone that I trust.
If you do not deliver me from my predicament, they will be proven right in their judging of me because, my feet are slipping
and I am wavering in my commitment to you. My only hope is in me casting my entire being on your mercy and grace. Because
of my hunger for you, I am suffering for righteous sake. Please do not forsake me. Please hear me and hurry to my rescue.”
David was a man after God’s own heart because; he had learned how to be honest and transparent with
his thoughts in his conversations with the Lord. What we had here was a man vacillating between his struggles with his flesh
verses his righteous position in God. This trial as human beings on this planet is for us to finally come to the end of us
trying to measure up to some standard of perfection and recognize that God has a higher opinion of us then we have of ourselves
as His children. David said that he was spell bound. This is demonic in nature to deceive and stop us from receiving
God’s love.
These trials of life are common to all men and women. There was no judgment by God on David for him feeling
he had failed in life because, he was putting judgment on himself and was being influenced to believe these were God’s
judgments. The conditions that David was living in are the trials of maturity. All of us are being conditioned by God through
these seasons of growth. If you can’t say that to yourself, I need to tell you that you are living in prideful denial
and unrighteous thinking. This condition is not having a heart that functions like God’s heart. In turn, your steps
cannot be ordered by the Lord. It is a matter of life or death to live constantly throwing our selves on the mercy of the
court for independent thinking and continually looking to God for a higher wisdom then our own.
Independent thinking people know that, they are not obligated to love God, themselves or anyone
else. They willingly want to.
In John 14:23, Jesus says, “If a person really loves me, he will keep my commandments.” Blind
obedience without love will maintain order, (but does nothing to enhance a loving relationship.) Blind obedience
without recognizing its value is destined for failure.
Love gives the reason to obey and gives us value and worth. The hungering heart will
seek with Passion the kingdom of God. The self-sufficient heart will grow restless in his walk
with God.
In closing and I am having difficulty doing this. Walking in the spirit is not obeying doctrines of right
and wrong. If scripture tells us that we have become a new creature in Christ the day we received Him into our heart, we must
be taught how this new creature thinks and operates. Our behavior changes as we experience the symbiotic relationship with
the Holy Spirit. Unless you come to realize the difference between the chastisements of the Holy Spirit verses you judging
yourself by a standard of living with a spirit of obligation, you will continue being ashamed of your self and grabble before
God not knowing your position as a kingdom person. A healthy person is like David the King, who had freedom to come before
God and state his case of doubt. This is a man who was hungering and thirsting after his righteous position in Christ. David
by confessing his doubts and pain qualified him for greatness. David had no defense mechanisms or fig leaf mentality.
His passion and hunger drove him to vent his feelings and allow God to wash him clean. Let’s remember Jesus said “I
can’t help the ones who are self sufficient, but I have come to help the sick and needy.”
It is us recognizing and having a deep seeded passion through necessity that makes us able to hear
His steps.
In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, “those that hunger and thirst after righteousness will come
to completion and wholeness.” It is as we walk in obedience to this command that will cause our steps to be
ordered by the Lord.
