Godly Warrior is the warfare of a child
Part two
1. Wisdom: = (The ability to recognize subtle differences of what
is true or false which gives us the ability to make sound judgments based on this type of Holy Spirit discernment.) Proverbs
4:5-9 tells us, “Make it your aim to get skillful and Godly wisdom, get understanding and don’t forget
or ignore what the Holy Spirit is telling you. Do not abandon her (Wisdom) and she will preserve you: love her and
she will guard and defend you from harm. Skillful and Godly wisdom is the principle thing.
Prize wisdom highly and exalt her and she will exalt and promote you and she will bring you honor. Put your
arm around her in a greeting of affection. She will give to your head a wreath of grace and a crown of beauty and glory she
will deliver to you.” If you look at the way King Solomon wrote this, it was as if he was having a love affair and courting a lady. Since Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived, I believe we should
heed his advice. This wreath of grace that he was talking about means,
We are to allow the Holy Spirit to totally envelope His being and character into our mind to the point of
being a hovering cloud over and through us swimming in His grace.
You may say that, grace is the aroma of the Holy Spirit. There is a cleansing effect or a washing of our
souls being done by the Holy Spirit as we have this on going relationship with Him. This will give us a sense of well being
and we will prosper in all areas.
In Eccles. 9:17-18 King Solomon states, “The words of a wise man heard in
quiet are better than the shouts of him who rules among fools. Wisdom
is better than weapons of war, but one sinner’s false concept of faith destroys
much good.”
James 3:17 tells us, “ when we function with wisdom from above it is first of all pure, peaceable,
gentle and earnestly expressed. It is full of mercy and shows up in our outward behavior towards all and it will not take
sides and has no false pretenses. In order for us to live as righteous beings in Christ Jesus, the seeds of the Holy Spirit
can only be sown in peace settings meaning no strife because, the person who is growing up in righteousness has a desire to
find peace with God and with one another.”
When we have laws of ritualism and measuring up attitudes being represented by leadership that say in any
form, “ Either go along with our programs and teaching philosophies or we will have to reject you because, you
are rocking the boat and not cooperating with our agenda.” These types of attitudes show us that, we have babies
fighting over recognition and a desire to control people who have a desire to belong. What we really have here is a lack of
heart desire to hunger and thirst after God in their own daily lives. A lot of it is an
undisciplined life style of bless me, feed me, and pray for me mentality. When denominational philosophies and doctrines of
Devils are being preached through ignorance of God’s word and the people blindly follow man made visions and dreams
never ordain by the Holy Spirit, they end up eating the leaven of the Pharisees.
We know that even the disciples that followed Jesus became dull of hearing
and had a lack of insight to some of Jesus parables. When we try in our own strength to live righteously in trying to
clean up our own act and focus our thought life on self in any way, we build things into our character not for the better
but for the worse. Leaven makes a loaf of bread lighter. Now that sounds like a good thing however, when we through our ignorance
and own efforts try to lighten our load of oppressive faults and feelings of insecurity or try to measure up to be accepted
by God, Paul the Apostle tells us in Cor.5: “by us thinking this way and setting this example by telling the people
to follow this perception, this idea contaminates the whole body. Clean your self
out of this way of thinking for you have become born again people and Jesus sacrificed His life to set you free from
this type of mentality.”
2. Understanding: = (Having the ability to perceive the nature of a
thing and know what direction to take by the Holy Spirits leadings.) When we come to understand a thing, we then have the
know how to lay our hand to something and prosper as God intended.
Proverbs 12:11 states, “A vain person is void of understanding.”
Man’s basic nature was born in slavery to a spirit of vanity. It is a disease of the shame based nature we received
under Adams curse. When we trust in any form of a vanity persuasion, it keeps us deceived and keeps a dark cloud over our
spiritual minds and we are not able to walk in the walk in the freedom that Jesus gave us at the cross.
When a person functions in vanity he has no solid foundation and lives with an excessive pride in his
own efforts
.
Paul in Col. 2:7-8 states “Have your roots firmly and deeply planted in Christ and continue to
be built up and confirmed in the faith of Jesus just as you have been taught. Live
with enthusiasm and be forever thankful in all things. See to it that no man carries you off as spoils or makes you become
captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceits ( Ideal fantasies and plain nonsense ), following the human traditions of men’s ideas of the material
rather than the spiritual world. These are just crude notions and undeveloped and foolish teachings of the universe and treat without respect the teachings of Christ the Anointed one.”
Unless we are being taught the difference between faith verses man’s ideas of living the Christian
life, the body of Christ will remain foolish, unstable and unfit for the Masters use.
It is a great comfort and stabilizing promise that I saw many years ago in the word that has given me hope
in believing God as I have endeavored to understand His heart in all matters. In Ephesians 1:16-18 the Apostle Paul prayed
for them and I believe that it is a prayer that the body of Christ badly needs in these
trying times. Paul states, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the
spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him and that, the eyes of your understanding
become enlightened. That you may come to know what your high calling is and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance
is to all the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us, who believe in the working of his mighty
power with in us.”
Paul also states in Corinthians, “there is a time in our lives of walking in an understanding
as a young child but as we grow in the Lord eventually we are to put away the understanding of a child and get the understanding
of a more mature Christian.” It is long past due that the body of Christ stops drinking milk and starts eating
solid food and matures.
3. Counsel: = (To consult and consider carefully and at length with
argument, for or against an idea and to come to a final decision.) How much time do you spend in a running conversation with
the Holy Spirit during the day?
How God conscience are you in your thought life at work or at home or wherever and how intense is your desire
to function daily in the power of the Holy Spirit? Our walk with God began with a personal commitment with Jesus when we confessed
Him as Savior. It must now remain personal as we make Him Lord of our lives. Jesus
would have died if only one person was living on this planet. He is a personal God who lives to communicate with His people.
Our first priority must be a relationship between two people, which creates a common fellow feeling with two people learning
and loving together.
In Isaiah 55:1-3 God talking to Isaiah the prophet tells him the type of relationship and counseling He wants
to have with His people. He says, “Wait and listen, every one who is thirsty.
Come to the waters where you don’t need any money or reputation and I will
give you priceless spiritual wine and milk simply for surrendering your self and
accepting my blessing. Why do you spend your time and efforts on things that do not satisfy you? Pay attention
to what I am telling you and take what I am giving you, it will make you prosper and it will give you My
joy which is my strength. Bow your heart and bend your knee in humility and reverence and open your spiritual
ear to hear me and I will make an everlasting covenant with you.” God is incapable of lying. A covenant is a
binding agreement between Him and us and if we want to agree to the terms of the agreement, we first have to know the rules of the agreement and than allow the Holy Spirit to have accesses to our will
so He can empower us to keep the agreement.
People who are ignorant of their terms of the agreement have no chance to live abundant lives. He also tells
us that only thirsty people can receive His counsel. God knew that our human nature
had a tendency to not believe him and He would have to pursue us so we would be able to come into agreement with Him. God
does not have a problem with our mistrust and double mindedness when it comes to believing what He says.
He knew because of our fallen nature that we would struggle and complain when we don’t understand where
He disappears to, when at times we desperately need Him. This verse also tells us that, as for the young Christian who is
still drinking a milk diet or the older Christian who is drinking wine, God made provision for both and He is not a respecter
of persons. Also when He says for us to come to these waters, what he is talking about is described in Ephesians 5:25-26.
Paul says, “Christ so loves His church that He gave up His life on the cross and as we participate
in conversation with the Holy Spirit our souls are constantly being sanctified and cleansed as our souls are being washed by our meditating on His word day and night.” When our relationship
with the Holy Spirit is healthy, we can hear Him reminding us that God sees us free from sin and
pure in Jesus Christ the day we became born again and that, we can never lose it.
Even though we can never lose this position, as born again believers, we can be deceived and contaminated with the thoughts
that, we did lose it.
This happens when we focus on our faults and behavior and we begin to think that, God is unpleased with us
and He changes His mind in His covenant promises too us. In Rev. 3:18, the Laodician church had lost their vision of their
righteous position in Jesus Christ and God tells John the apostle of how He wants to counsel them.
To the church at Laodicia he states, “I Counsel you
to 1.) Buy from Me 2.) Gold refined and
3.) Tested by fire, that you may be truly wealthy, and 4.) White
clothes to clothe you and to keep the 5.) Shame of your nudity from being seen
and 6.) Eye salve to put on your eyes that you may see.
By counseling, He does not mean let me dictate to you that, you have to clean up your act. This counseling
is a jointly conversation with Him of debate if necessary and reasoning together. For this to take place, we have to volunteer
and become willing to interact with Him. He then goes on to tell us how to do this and empowers us to do it. Remember the
key to receiving from God can only happen through a willing heart. Let’s define
these six terms.
1.) Buy: To repossess something that had been lost and
awake from a slumber they had been in and become active again in their relationship with Him.
2.) Gold Refined: This is the power God gives us to change our
attitude to comply with doing what He just said. This gold is His grace that can only be refined
through our use of it. As we use it, our spiritual ears identify with the Holy Spirit in our thought life and
we speak what God says out of our mouth.
3.) Tested by fire; The power of God’s grace that
He gives us will be tested and tried through the process we will be going through to change. It not only heals, but
it also destroys the spiritual decease, behavior, cripple ness or stronghold we may have in our life that keeps us
from all God wants to give us. There are things in our lives that have to be shaken loose, so the only thing left standing
is God’s perfect will in us. He goes on to say, if we allow this to take place, it will make us truly rich in God’s
sight and our own. This happens because, we open up our spirit to receive everything and more that God wants to give us for
our every need when we need it.
4.) White clothes to clothe: We need to see ourselves the same as God
our Heavenly Father sees us. When God sees us He sees Jesus, perfect in His sight. This concept of understanding has to be
nurtured daily with our walk with God, because of all of the negative influence we are bombarded with daily. 11 Peter 3:14
tells us that, “Jesus is coming back for a church without spot and wrinkle and people who have a serene confidence
in their relationship with Him.”
If we know that we are without spot and wrinkle in God’s sight and ours, it will keep us free from
fears, agitating passions and moral conflicts.
5.) Shame of our nudity from being seen: The nudity or
shame talked about here is the reaping in our lives of the curse. This happens when we don’t see ourselves as God sees
us. This causes us to live with painful feelings caused by a sense of guilt and unworthiness. It is the shame base nature
that we have been talking about that Jesus came to deliver us from when He gave His life up for us on the cross. When we do
not interact with the Holy Spirit, we can not experience God’s grace (unearned favor) and love.
Therefore, our mind and thinking processes keep us focused on our behavior, lack and we think in a sin consciousness,
rather then focusing on His total acceptance and desire to pour His gifts and grace out on us.
6.) Eye salve on your eyes so you may really see: The definition
of eye salve means to keep company with, join to, or be glued to. It also means a “poultice”
A poultice is a warm substance like a plaster that is put on the body in different areas to heal it. You will notice
here God says that we must have this eye salve or poultice put on our spiritual eyes, if we are really going to see. An example
of this is found in John chapter 9:1-7 “as Jesus was walking along He noticed a blind man that was blind from
birth.” His disciples asked Him, “Master who sinned, this man or his parents, that caused him to
be born blind?”
You notice here that the disciples had a condemning thought rather then a loving thought. Jesus answer was,
“neither was it his sin or his parent’s sin, but he was born blind so that I can reveal
and display my mercy and healing power. My whole purpose is to do my fathers business while I am in the world, because
I am the light or life of the world. He then spit on the ground and made mud (poultice) with
His saliva, and spread it as an ointment (the anointing) on the man’s eyes. He then told him to
go wash in the pool of Siloam. Therefore, he went and came back seeing.”
The word Siloam where He told him to go and wash represents an attitude
of (putting away one condition and embracing another condition.) The blind man‘s latter
condition was a lot more favorable then his former condition. It is a matter of life or death for us who call ourselves born
again believers to live this life of allowing God to (anoint our spiritual eyes with the eye salve of (!
Himself! ) and really begin to interpret His thoughts and purposes clearly without distortions of the truth.
We know from scripture that the word Christ means, the
anointed one. This anointing that is in Him is now also in us and a permanent gift given to us by God. It is the
power of God working in our thought life and being, that arouses those heart-felt feelings that God wants to impart to us,
which supplies our needs and the needs of others.
It’s the power and the grace of the Holy Spirit, and we need
to be in counsel with Him at all times to understand life and how to be kingdom kids walking in the
spirit.
4. Might: = (Having great power, influence and resources to handle
all situations.) This definition to me isn’t very profound. We have had men and women over many centuries who have accomplished
some great things and have made a mark in history that are taught to our kids in school today. I personally believe that all
ability comes from our creator, and God has given man a free will to make his own choices. You are either leaning towards
your own understanding of what your priorities are or you are acknowledging God in
all of your ways and having a running conversation with the Holy Spirit as I have stated. There is no middle ground in our
spiritual walk and we are in a war and it is time for all of us in the body of Christ to stand up and make a difference in
our arenas of life. To obtain the life style that God intended, we are going to have to learn how to allow God’s
might to work in our lives. Like I said, man in his own strength has accomplished many things but not all of them
have been in obedience to God’s plan.
In Zechariah 4:6 God tells him that, “it is not by mans power or might
but by His Spirit that His will is to be done.” It is only
as we in the body of Christ become hungry for an intense focused relationship with the Holy Spirit daily, that will empower
us to not fall back from receiving God’s grace or spiritual power and favor.
When we have no hunger and thirst in seeking God, we stay ignorant of his ways.
When I write, there is a spirit in me that rises up at times and wants to declare or proclaim a thing. Scripture
says, “Let them who are the righteous say so in their daily speech and carry themselves as righteous people.”
In Romans 12:1-3 Paul states, “ I appeal to you brethren in looking at what Christ did for you by dying
on the cross that, you make a dedicated disciplined effort of presenting your self to God by trying to please Him which is
the reasonable and intelligent thing to do in your spiritual hungering after Him.
Do not come into agreement with mans idea of what acceptable behavior is
in living with a reasoning of external superficial customs. Therefore, be transformed
(changed) by the entire renewing of your mind so that you may prove
for your self, what God’s acceptable will is for your life. Because
I am being empowered and speak with the wisdom of God through His grace which is operating in me, I warn you, do not think
of your self more highly than you ought. Do not over estimate or exaggerate with your own interpretation of scripture
and self importance but, with sober judgment and only by governing your life by “faith”
(which is us living in the faith of Jesus Christ and His finished work
at the cross.) The distractions that we live in today have become almost unbearable. I have never in my life heard
so much noise in the spiritual world as it is going on in the world today. Man’s human will power has an almost supernatural
quality to try and mimic the anointing of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Some of the antics and behavior going on in Christian television today is nothing more than the flesh in operation. In some circles, church has become a drugged up fix of emotion to relieve
the tension and problems facing people every day where the gut wrenching decisions
of life are being made. I am not trying to be unkind and unloving here. The truth will set you free, if
you receive it. We all have a tendency because of our fallen nature to operate in our own ideas of how
to live the Christian life.
When we get dull of hearing and uncommitted in our endeavor to mature
in Christ, man works out his own idea of how to please God. The battle of living by faith has not changed in all these
years. Man will continue to try and make God into his own image rather than the other way around.
5. Knowledge: = (A specific accumulated body of facts through a field
of study coming by experimental experiences.) There are hundreds of things that we
can spend our life on in learning and getting knowledge for every reason under the sun. When we talk about knowledge in this
context, we mean acquiring the knowledge of the Lord by having a living relationship of experiences with Him. I have found
that learning about God gives you the feeling of a conscience presence of a person that has an unending desire to reveal himself
to you and who has a profound way of thinking that, staggers your imagination. It is the inquisitive mind and the need of
discovery that God gave me in my searching for Him that made me find Him alive and real some forty years ago. It was this
discovery that, catapulted me towards an invisible walk with a person that has never given up on me, when at times I wanted
to give up on myself.
In 11Peter 3:15-18 he urgently pleads with these people by telling them, “It is the Lord’s
longsuffering (His slowness in avenging wrongs and judging the world) which we can count on because, we are participating
in salvation. It is this that anchors and furnishes our souls with a security in God because; we can receive
the benefits of His attitude of having a slowness to avenge wrong when we fail. Paul the Apostle our brother in Christ has
also written to you and talked about this at times.
He also has been empowered by the Holy Spirit to understand the mystery of the meaning of being saved
through Christ. Now there are some things that Paul writes about in his epistles that are difficult
to understand, which the ignorant and the unstable
twist and misunderstand to their own utter destruction, just as they distort and
misinterpret the rest of the scriptures. Let me warn you, that knowing these things beforehand, you should be
on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of troublesome
people and lose your position of having a secured faith which will give
you peace of mind.
Therefore knowing this, we must learn how to grow in the grace of God which
is His (undeserved favor and spiritual strength) which will produce the true knowledge of God
and we will understand Our Lord and Savior and what He gave us at the cross.”
This scripture says, “We have to participate
in salvation.” When we were first saved by asking Jesus into our heart, that was only
the beginning. Without us having a total resolve to seek the knowledge of God’s ways and be on a constant
vigil of meditating and thinking with our spiritual minds, the confusion and hundreds of interpretation of God’s word
today will continue to totally blind and cause people to give up and believe that there is no absolute truth and standard
for living. The body of Christ today has no united front. We have to get back to
preaching Jesus Christ crucified and the true meaning of this and how to participate with His sacrifice in Him laying down
His life for mankind. Thank God for His longsuffering and mercy.
If there was confusion in Paul and Peter’s day when the church was just getting started, we desperately
need to repent and change our minds to day with in the body of Christ and
get grounded and become secure and anchored in our total acceptance by God. I have said this over and over again and I will
continue to say it.
“It is the true knowledge of God and the entrance of that knowledge into our hearts and minds that will
keep us free to make choices with out intimidation or fear of retaliation by God or man.”
This Christian walk of ours is a mystery to be discovered and not
a game of, we seek God today and we do our own thing tomorrow. The least thing we can do, if we really care about ourselves
is to once and for all make a quality choice to seek God or to not seek Him. You
will find if you don’t know it.
It is allowing yourself to stay quiet and give God time to prove to you that, He is real and allow His holding
power of love to keep you safe from all harm.
That’s why, “we must run our race with patient endurance and stead fast persistence only as the Holy Spirit shows us.” It is in the quiet moments of deep
thought and peace that God speaks and gives us a word of wisdom and knowledge of Him that, we can truly
understand. We can’t live a life of eating fast foods in our searching for true knowledge. God’s truths
have to be mined like gold or precious diamonds. At times I think most Christians don’t really want to know the truth
and they try to run away from themselves.
6. Reverence: = (A feeling of profound respect mingled with awe and
affection and having a gracious and courteous behavior.) When there is a reverence towards someone, we pay close attention
and focus our thought life towards the feelings of that person. In Hebrews 12:24-29 We have Paul the Apostle giving us a vision,
direction and the attitude of the reverence we need to have in running our race of faith. He states, “ Jesus is
the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling, which speaks of mercy and gives us a
better testimony and gracious message than the blood of Abel whom was killed by his brother Cain in the Old Testament because,
Abel’s blood cried out for vengeance.
See then that when God speaks to you that you do not refuse to listen. For the people who lived by the Ten
Commandments in the Old Testament before Jesus died on the cross for our sins did not have His power of His grace in them
to obey Him. When they broke the Law they paid a terrible price here on earth and did not escape the consequences
of their actions. We now also will pay an awful price if we do not heed the voice of the Holy Spirit because heaven is now
in us and we have a more excellent covenant and more to loose.
At Mount Sinai where God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses His voice shook the earth. Yet once more God’s
is not only shaking the earth but also the heavens. Now this means that, God in this last dispensation of time is determined
to shake every thing He created in order to get rid of anything that does not line up with His perfect will in our lives.
If we truly understand God’s resolve and motivation in doing this let us receive and live in this type of kingdom by
receiving His grace which is pleasing and acceptable to Him and it will produce a reverence
and a Godly fear of Him. For God is a consuming fire”
It is so important that we get sight of the fact that God is a jealous lover and
He will not allow one of His children to miss there appointed task and purpose that He ordained for their lives. As I have
stated, there is a big shaking going on in the body of Christ through different circumstances and God is determined to set
His people free from every encumbrance and weight that has so easily captured His children. This happens because, of their ignorance of not knowing what type of resolve He has for them to know how much He loves them.
What is also amazing, we have to receive God’s grace to even have the power to reverence
Him.
I am continually reminded by the Holy Spirit, “Let go and let me do it for you”
If we are going to boast in any thing, let us boast of the Lord. When
we boast in self it’s another fruit in our lives of the shame based nature that keeps us as cripples. God is a consuming
fire. His act of dying for our sins and as we become symbiotic in our relationship in dying with Him, we were raised to a
new life in and through Him and His spirit and our spirit have become one. As we meditate on God’s word daily, the Holy
Spirit’s leadings clears up our misunderstandings and anything operating in our lives contrary to the faith
of Jesus.
7. Obedience: = (To do the bidding and be guided by certain laws.) We now
come to putting the Faith of Jesus into works of righteousness. These first six characteristics
have to be in operation or there is no obedience to walking in God’s statutes. In John 14:23, Jesus says, “If
a person really loves me, he will keep my commandments.”
Blind obedience without love will maintain order, but does nothing to enhance a loving relationship.
Blind obedience without recognizing its value is destined for failure.
Love gives the reason to obey and gives
us value and worth. The hungering heart will seek with Passion the kingdom of God. The complacent heart or the self
absorbed person will grow restless in his walk with God.
A prolonged mind set of trying to live by “dos and don’ts” distract us from God’s
intended goals. When we are receiving God’s love, we can truly love one another. I have learned that without the sensitivity
of the Holy Spirit, my mind drifts into a thinking mentality of faultfinding about others and myself. Jesus did not come to
earth to impose the law or to rule over us with a dictating and dominating attitude.
He came to empower us to be able to keep the law by
His love and the Spirit of grace working on the inside of us. He came to bridge the gap between,
His creative order by giving us an awareness of His devoted love.
God’s love can only be described as His “forgiving grace.”
God knew that while we are learning, maturing and growing spiritually, we would stumble and fall short and violate
His perfect will for our lives. However, like the loving Father that He is, His grace intercedes and covers our faults. This
in turn gives us the power to maintain and continue our loving relationship with Him. Only by learning to receive
and live in God’s power of forgiveness will man find and feel true peace. The
key to obedience is in this word forgiveness. Let’s define and meditate on this word
before we go on.
The word forgives in the Greek is aphiemi: meaning, to lie aside,
separate, a departure from or free from blame and obligation. In Matthew 26:28 Jesus celebrated the last supper with His disciples.
He refers to His blood as, “The blood of the New Testament (or the new covenant) which He would shed for the remission
of our sins.” The word remission means, a release from the penalty and consequence
caused by a crime. When we respond and walk in the Spirit of forgiveness it is only then that, we can walk in obedience to
God’s statutes. God’s nature is the Spirit of forgiveness.
Our first encounter of tasting forgiveness was at the cross when we had a born again experience and received
our new nature in Christ. 1Peter 1:19-23 he tells us, “We were bought with the blood of
Christ because He offered himself up as a sacrificial lamb. He was faultless and not guilty of ever doing anything
wrong. It was God’s plan from the beginning for Him to offer Himself up in this way. It is in us believing
that He was raised from the dead and our faith should be focused on this one act alone. If you are going to
walk in obedience, you must know and be participating in the truth of this and it
can only be reveled and lived through the workings of the Holy Spirit. This relationship with the Holy Spirit will keep our
motives and attitudes pure and unsoiled and in turn, we will be able to love ourselves and the brethren.”
I believe that the body of Christ has got caught up with going through the rote operations of the words of
the bible and do not realize that the Spirit of forgiveness is the personality of the Holy Spirit. We need to realize that,
we need to continually be having saved experiences with Holy Spirit daily. I am convinced that the majority of the body of
Christ is fighting a battle with in them of self hate. We badly have to let the Holy
Spirit have access to out hearts and mind and set us free to rest in His arms.
I have found in my own life a need in me to surrender and allow the Holy Spirit to probe my inner being and
erase and restore areas of my life that have been acquired through ignorance of His ways
over these many years. There are weights that Christians have carried around for many years that have them demonically
oppressing. It is only as we are experiencing the love of the Lord and His grace, which will allow Him to operate
in those areas of our lives that are raw and sensitive. It is time if we really want to know the real love of the Lord to
let Him invade those areas and not cover them up with religious hype, emotional rhetoric which is nothing more then a camouflage
and living in denial. It is as we learn to love ourselves that we will be
able to love one another.
When we live in self hate in any form, we can not see value in ourselves and we give the quality of our own
self worth in our own sight to each other. When this happens we participate in prolonging the curse and cripple ness in ourselves
and our relations with others. We have ministries at work with in the body of Christ where people have to be delivered from
bondages that have controlled their life for years. After they get delivered they have to go on and not live in error as to
how they are to submit their lives to God. We must be teaching them how to stay free once delivered, or they will go back
to a worsened condition.
If I haven’t made it clear to you yet, this is a disease of the curse and a sickness that can no longer be ignored anywhere and especially in the body of Christ. It is time for us to take
the medicine of forgiveness from God and continue to take it as we mature in our adventures
with Him. This is the key that will make us healthy and we can walk with authority in our Godly pursuits in and to the world.
We need to be aware of the fact that, we need to allow God to continually save and deliver us from ourselves.
This is a way of life not a set of rules
.
It is these seven characteristics of the Holy Spirit that we have defined from scripture that causes us to
walk in our righteousness in Christ and empower our warfare. Along with God’s characteristics we also have our weapons
of warfare that God gave us the day we became born again. Paul states in 11Cor.10:3-4 “Even though we walk in
fleshly bodies, we are not to carry on our warfare according to the flesh and use mere human reasoning.
For the weapons of our warfare are not (physical reasoning of flesh and blood,) but they are mighty through God for the overthrowing and destruction of strongholds.”
When scripture uses terms like through or before
it means that, we have to put away our own human reasoning and begin to think with the mind of Christ that we received
the day we made Jesus our Savor and follow the Holy Spirit’s advice only. No one wants to admit that there could be
strongholds in one’s life however, we were born into a flesh and blood body and David the King in Psalms says “all
men are beasts with out the Holy Spirit’s leadings.”
Our born again experience is something that we have to maintain through discipline, tenacity and passion
with a total leaning of our entire personality on Jesus Christ. If we are going to reach excellence, we must be healed of
our cripple ness and the strongholds in our lives by studying and meditating on the scripture to know that, we are approved
by God to do the work of the ministry of Jesus on the earth. I am talking to all of us not just the five fold ministry in
the public eye.
The five fold ministry is supposed to equip the body of Christ to do the real work of the ministry in the
market places of their personal lives. The day of the people sitting in the pews
Sunday after Sunday with their mouths open like chicks being fed by the mother in the nest must come to an end. I believe
God is saying the same thing He said to Pharaoh back in the Old Testament when He told him, “to let His people
go, so that they could go on to real maturity with a Promised Land mentality to fight the real giants in the world around
us.”
